A: July 22-28, 2012
Q: What is the cost of the program?
A: The program is completely free to participants, however each student is responsible for his/her transportation to and from the program. All out of state students are responsible for travel fare to and from the program, and must be accompanied to and from the program with an adult.
Q: How many students will be attending the program?
A: 45 students will be admitted to this year’s program
Q: Who can attend the program?
A: We are seeking those high school students who will enter 10th, 11th, and 12th grade in Fall 2012.

Q: What should an alumni SLP Student do in order to find out about opportunities to volunteer with future SLP programs?
A: These students should contact Audrena Goodie at (213) 740-5490, leaving detailed information about themselves including Name, SLP Year, Contact Phone Number, and Year in School, and express interest in helping with the upcoming SLP program.
Q: What kind of supervision will be extended to the students?
A: The students will be organized into small groups with two counselors per five students, who will act as guides, instructors, and/ or chaperones for the students throughout the program.
Q: Where will the students stay during the program?
A: The students will stay in suite-style college dorms on the USC campus.
Q: Is high school or college credit given for participation in the SLP program?
A: No college or high school credit is offered for student participation, however it is an excellent resume-building opportunity allowing students to learn about accounting and business while forming lasting relationships with a variety of professionals they can call on for help with the college application process and navigating the corporate world in general.
Q: Who will be instructing the students throughout the program?
A: The instructors will be USC professors and volunteer professionals from corporate sponsors.

Q: Do students ever go off campus?
A: Yes, students, along with their counselors, leave campus for guided tours through the LA office of one of our corporate sponsors, typically a Big 4 accounting firm. The rest of the week is conducted on-campus.
